This course provides a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of Electric Vehicles(
EVs), especially in the context of India. As part of the course, students will be
exposed to technology associated with each element of an EV drive-train; they will
also study the economics of EVs in comparison with petrol-powered vehicles.

This NPTEL Online Certification course (NOC) of 48 Online Lectures/Modules on “Fundamentals
of Electric vehicles: Technology & Economics” was prepared by the Professors at 
IIT Madras specifically targeting the Electrical Engineering Discipline and published
on the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) website.
